  • Booxter for iPhone/iPod Touch now available

    2010 - 06.24

Booxter for iPhone/iPod Touch is now available (it might take a short while for it to show up in the App Store).

You can download the new version 2.5 of Booxter which supports it.  You can now export from your desktop version of Booxter to your iPhone or iPod Touch.  It will also run on the iPad like all iPhone apps do, a universal iPhone/iPad update will be made in the future.

In the Preferences, there’s a new Sharing panel, use that to enable sharing and choose the libraries you wish to share.  On the iPhone, open up Booxter and tap the Sharing button to see the shared libraries and select the ones you want exported to your iPhone.

Thanks for your patience, this is the first version, there are more features to add of course.  I hope you enjoy it.

I loaded the app on my iPhone (3G), did the sharing thing, got the dial, etc. Now the app says I have 1678 books in my file, but I see no books anywhere in any list… what gives?

Just tried the iPhone app. Sharing over WiFi is fine, but also need to be able to do a direct sync when iPhone is connected to computer.

Small music library and slightly larger movie library loads fine, looks great. But it will NOT load a 500+ book library. Starts, runs for various periods of time, shows varying amounts of progress, then just stops! Agree with Jerry, direct sync would be nice.

I’m using the Booxter app on a 2nd gen Touch and just discovered that turning Bluetooth on the Touch to OFF allowed my book library to load quickly and completely. Color me happy! 🙂

I concur with Carole green that turning Bluetooth on my iPhone 3GS does allow the load of my library of 500+ book titles to take place quickly.

However the app does seem to take a long time to discover the Booxter libraries with Bonjour and it is a hit and miss affair.

Thanks Carole for the tip ! Indeed if bluetooth is on, it’s a never ending story. The library doesn’t load. By turning off bluetooth, it took a couple of seconds !!!
Please Deeprose can you fix this BUG ?
I would also like a possibility to sort the list by title, by author. and the possibility to search my library on the iphone.
Great piece of software. Thanks a lot..

I want to thank you for your app.

Just one thing in the iPhone app. It Will be great to have a search mode to find easily a comic in our list.

I do not have an option to share my 1000+ movie library, but I can share a small music library. What gives? I have recreated the library a few times now and even made a smaller library, but no matter what I do it will not give me the option to share the library.

I just downloaded the free iPod app and also the free software to try this out. I am having trouble sharing my catalog with my iPod touch. I found the sharing preference in the catalog, but my iPod sharing does not show which libraries I have. Any help you can give me is appreciated. Thanks.
